Philosophy

My leadership philosophy is that it is a privilege, not a right, to be in the service of others as a leader. I am a positive leader who believes that fairness and equality is most important. Watch my TouchCast video for a better idea on how I view my leadership!

My Leadership Philosophy
My StrengthsQuest Results

My StrengthsQuest results were profoundly accurate. The consisted, in order, of Content; Input; Empathy; Harmony; and Consistency. ​​Content basically explained that I enjoy thinking and knowing about the past and the people and events that took place. I feel the more I know about history the more I'll know about the future. Input explained that I'm a collector in the sense that I crave knowledge and need to know more about things. I'll collect ideas, information, even relationships. Empathy explained that I'm a connector, meaning I can empathise with others and their lives and situations. Connecting through their emotions and I want everyone to be equally treated with equal opportunities which is how I work in groups. The concept of harmony said that I always look for consensus and I hate conflict, I try to seek out agreement instead of disagreement; I'm a peacemaker. Lastly, Consistency relates to my ability to be adamant about the importance of treating people equally. This is done by setting up clear expectations and keeping to them.

My style is similar to that of a transformational leader; motivating and inspiring my staff to succeed, which I know I do through my dance classes with my students. I want to continue to grow and progress as a teacher through different styles of dance and by teaching different ages. My leadership style is very democratic. It's important to me that my employees are involved in making decisions, and are as satisfied as I am with our team's work. My jb as a leader is to serve my staff and help them grow and succeed both as a team, and personally."
